If you take the time to browse through my gallery you’ll see that I’m working hard on the much needed updates. Although I still have a fair amount of work left I’m happy with how things are turning out.
However there’s a good chance that I’ve made a few mistakes. If you spot some could you please notify me, and I’ll correct them asap.

My mom owns Kettle Valley Seabuckthorn, a Orchard, and Canada’s first Seabuckthorn Processing plant.
I took some time out the other day, for a visit, and I just had to photograph some of the fruit.
Seabuckthorn is possibly the worlds healthiest foods. Her skin cream has been known to heal most skin conditions other medicated creams haven’t.

I’m having problems with her web hosting company, so I won’t post a link until I have the chance to switch companies.
I’ve decided to take my images off of RedBubble, and only sell them on-line, in person, or through Galleries or Stores. Every image will be printed in Rainbow Photo, Kelowna (see link on the side panel). On either Canvas, or a Specialty Photo Paper. And printed to my specifications. For panoramic images, printed over 3 feet long I will still get Contact Photo Arts, Grand Forks, British Columbia to print them.
In addition, most of the images I’ll be displaying on-line will be limited editions. With the sizes ranging from 18″ x 24″ up to 24″ x 36″
I am keeping all my work on file, so if you’d like something you don’t see please feel free to ask about it.
The reason I am doing this is that way I know exactly what my customers are getting, for their hard earned money. I have the opportunity to personally work with the lab, ensuring the best quality possible.
It will take me a week or 2, to make these changes. So please be patient.
I would like to say that in my opinion RedBubble is a good site, for most artists. Just not for me.
I went out for a walk today, and saw some flowers under a boardwalk. Although they are kinda boring I thought they might make a nice artistic photo. So I slipped on my choice lens, although it’s my hardest lens to use, and focused on my choice flower. This bee landed on the plant right befpre I snapped the image, just giving me the chance to focus on it’s face.
The first pic is just a crop of the first.
I know that it isn’t the best photo in the world, however I thought the overall effect was quite pleasing.
While working part time in a photo lab I’m seeing more and more people coming in, with corrupt or formatted memory cards. Then asking what we can do to help them recover their photographs.
More often than not all their memories are lost. However it doesn’t have to be this way.
Where most of the Big Chain stores are telling people they need the biggest memory card they can afford we’re telling our customers that’s not what they want. We’d rather sell you two, or more smaller cards, and have you switch them back and forth from time to time.
Just a few of the reasons including Theft… If your camera is stolen at least you have some of the images left. Corrupt Media Cards… I see it happen all the time, a card just packs it in suddenly. And Accidentally Formatting, or Erasing cards… Don’t say you’d never do that, the odds are that you will sometime in your life.
When I’m talking to people before their vacation, or event I always recommend that they switch the memory cards back and forth at least twice a day. That way they’ll never loose a full days worth of memories. In addition it’s always a good idea to back the cards up on your laptop, or other digital storage whenever you have the time.
Another point about Memory Cards that I feel Must Be addressed. There’s big money in selling counterfeit cards. Most cards sold on-line are fake, along with some even sold in Big Chain stores. Personally I recommend buying any card locally. Don’t be afraid to return it if it proves to be a fake. There’s a good chance the store doesn’t even know.
One last thing. Some cameras just don’t like some brands of memory, so do some research before you buy.
