I got Robbed, at Gunpoint today, and whomever I’ve told the story to started laughing at it.
The story about everything that happened actually started about 2 weeks ago. I met up up with my mom, and told her that I’d like to take a train ride, in Summerland, British Columbia I’ve never been on.
The train happened to be closed that day, so we decided to book 3 seats for when a good friend could join us. Today worked out the best for everyone.
However, my friend was sick this morning, so she had to back out.
Other than that everything started out smoothly. However shortly after we got on the train we were told that the Garnett Valley Gang was seen in the area.
I wasn’t too worried, since there was a Sheriff on board.

For the most part the ride was good, we even had some live entertainment.

However, towards the end of the ride there was a commotion on the train. It appears as if one of the passengers had some friends waiting in the bushes, on horseback. They came out, stopping the train and proceeded to rob everyone on board.

Not only that, but the Sheriff was also one of the gang members.
During the robbery I called up my friend who backed out, and told her what was happening, thinking that she’d call the police, or at least be sympathetic, and she burst out laughing. I couldn’t believe her attitude, after all she should have been on there as well. I guess that I need to have a serious talk with that woman when she feels better.
Thankfully the robbers spared everyone’s life, and I decided to see another friend of mine on the way home. When I first told her about what happened she didn’t believe me, until I told her I had pictures to prove it. When she saw the pic’s she also burst out in laughter. I’m starting to wonder what’s up with these women I know, are they all like that?
Now that I’m back at home, I’ve had a chance to relax a little, and process some of the digital pic’s I’ve taken.
I’m thinking that I’ll send some of them into my best friends girlfriend, a police officer and see if she takes it a little more seriously.
All photos shot with the Sigma SD14, along with a Sigma 24 – 70 f2.8 lens. Converted in SPP3.5, using their Monochrome white balance setting.
I shot several additional pic’s using B&W film. I may add them at a later date, if they turn out.
